Snow

Lots of it too! I live in Scotland and we get a bit of snow here, but not usually this early and this is the most we've ever had in one go since I moved here. It started snowing Friday night and has snowed on and off since. In total we have about 24 inches, the schools are closed and we are pretty much snowed in. A few four wheel drives have managed to get out and about but that's about it. I know that in some areas of the world this isn't much snow but for us it's quiet unusual. This area of Scotland is better prepared and more accustomed to snow than some areas of the UK but still this early and this much! So here are some pictures. Looking from our house one way:

The mounds in the front are large plants and the mounds at the back are cars. Looking up our road:

The mound in the foreground is about 6 feet high!

Wow Debby - that is INCREDIBLY pretty - I miss living in Scotland!! We are due for snow later tonight - here on the Wirral it's as rare as hen's teeth (goes with being almost surrounded by water!).
Thanks for sharing your pictures and hope you are able to get all you need!

Hugs,
Caryn xxx

We got 1.5 feet of snow here two years ago and I'll be happy not to shovel that much for some time again LOL! I did enjoy the beauty of the snow and the silence was fabulous. Hope you can get out and about soon.

Wow!!! I live in Tennessee and we RARELY get snow. Last year, we got about 2 inches and the city was shut down pretty much! LOL...it's crazy..and that was the entire year! We get lots of black ice that wreaks havoc on everyone especially since it's so hilly here. Wow..well have fun indoors! :)

Wow- 24 inches is ALOT of snow to get at once- no wonder you are all snowed in! It sure is pretty but I know how hard it can be to deal with- enjoy it if you can!

Gorgeous, I want some snow too. Unfortunately won't be getting a lot in Melbourne.

So pretty. There is something about the stillness when the snow is on the ground. Good time to get some baking done or some crafting.

Debby - it looks oh so beautful!! But I can imagine that you must be rather fed up with it all by now. I'm in North Wales and fortunately we've only had about an inch!! Hopefully, the weather will clear a bit soon. Take care and keep safe.

We live in Northern Ontario (Canada) and have had some early snow this year, but yesterday it rained and a lot of it melted. When you get so much snow, youjust have to go out and make snow angels and snowmen!!
