Don't you just love a pop of colour in an otherwise monochromatic scheme? Well that's exactly what this weeks Play Date Cafe Challenge is - a pop of purple.
Now I can't take credit for this card as I totally CASED (OK, on this occasion, copied) one my crafting buddy Michelle had made. In turn I believe she got her inspiration from a book by Kimber McGray. Isn't this little guy adorable!
The colour of the balloon was hard to photograph, IRL it's a rich purple (SU! elegant eggplant). Yummy. Here's another angle.
I know this post is about a pop of purple, but I couldn't resist doing a version of this card with a pop of red too. On this occasion I used a bigger googly eye to hide the eyelashes giving this cutey a slightly more boyish look. What do you think - eyelashes or not?
Well that's all for today folks.
Debby
This little guy is so cute and I love that balloon! Covering the eyelashes really does make him into a little boy monster doesn't it? Nice to have the flexibility to make it a boy or a girl...
ReplyDeleteI love it..with and without eyelashes. It's such a cute card!
