Hope your day is fabulous

Today is all about Papertrey Ink! First up is the Make it Monday challenge for this week which is to use an impression plate on only part of a piece of cardstock. Second is the latest challenge from A Passion For Papertrey which is to use paper piecing.

I also used a lot of inspiration from this weeks Tuesday Trigger on Moxie Fab as I did for this card. So the same basic design but mixing up the colours and elements a little.

It was so bright and sunny (happy sigh) when I was taking these photos that it's hard to see the lovely details of the impression plate. So here's a close up:

  11. Love, love, love this, just gorgeous. I have that same Sizzix branch die (love the look and size of it) and for the life of me I cannot get it to cut all the way thru on my Cuttlebug. I have tried every shim you can think of. Do you have this problem too? any tricks?

  12. Popping in to answer a few questions.

Ang, I have this ancient sidekick which I use to cut my sizzlets dies. I've tried to cut them in the cuttlebug but had no success. However, I've not concentrated on it and tried hard as I just quickly turn to my sidekick. Sorry to be of no help.

Amy, I saw Mailes Belles using this ribbon technique when All Booked Up came out. I'll try and find a link as she showed pictures on how to do it. It's really simple but I love the look of it.

  18. Debby,
thanks again for the tip. I actually found my old sidekick. I started to think maybe I had given it away. Thankfully I had not. One pass thru, no shims, perfect cut.

  19. Wohoo, glad you got it sorted Ang! It is on my lengthy "to do list" to try and get the sizzlets cutting in my cuttlebug. I will let you know if I have any success.
