polka dot door October guest design team

Wow, I'm delighted to have been asked to be a Guest Designer over at the Polkadot Door today for their inspirational blog hop! Added to it being World Card Making Day and it's a perfect time for a bit of craftiness! So hopefully you've found your way here from Amanda's blog and if not why not start at the beginning here.

Isn't that photo just packed with colour and inspiration! I chose to concentrate on the colours and added a couple of clouds for good luck. I liked the way the clouds were stacked on top of each other so used my favourite cloud die from Lil' Inker Designs and went with that.

Supplies: Stamps - There She Goes zoo pendous, sentimental birthday, Papertrey Ink mehndi medallion; Inks - Versacolor baby blue, Memento tuxedo black; Card - Stampin' Up bashful blue, lucky limeade, cherry cobbler; Paper - My Mind's Eye lost and found two; Twine; Button - Papertrey Ink simply chartreuse; Dies - There She Goes world's best, Lil' Inker rainbow and cloud

I stamped the giraffe from There She Goes zoo pendous set on some gorgeous My Mind's Eye paper and then layered that over a copic coloured giraffe. Cutting and layering until the giraffe was all dimensional! Although you can't see it very well in the above photo, I stamped the blue layer with Papertrey Ink's mehndi medallion stamp to reflect the wallpaper in the inspiration photo. Perhaps you can see it better here.

The tag was created using There She Goes world's best die set - it's actually the ribbon from the rosette! I masked the sentiment from a longer one in the sentimental birthdays stamp set. There's a lot going on in this little card - it's only 10cm square!
