Here in the UK, Stampin' Up have just released their 2011-2012 catalogue. I took some inspiration from the catalogue and 3 of their latest "in colours" and played around with my World's Best die and a mini stamp set - Sentimental Birthday.
Supplies: Stamps - There She Goes sentimental birthday, Papertrey Ink polka dot basics II; Ink - Versafine onyx black, Versamark; Card - Stampin' Up pool party, lucky limeade, calypso coral; Dies - There She Goes world's best; Twine - Divine twine
The banner craze is such a great one for using up your paper scraps. Apply the die to a few scraps and within no time at all you have a cute embellishment for a simple card. Banners are everywhere strung from twine, used to house a sentiment or, as in these cards, folded over a simple sentiment panel. I stamped three panels with one of my favourite sentiments from Sentimental Birthday and matted each panel onto a different colour of card. Then I cut 3 banners per card from the three cardstock colours. I used my scorpal to score each of the banners before folding them over the panels - I do love my neat clean lines! I then used dimensional adhesive to attach the panels to a card base on which I had stamped polka dots with Versamark. I then added a twine bow to the center banner on each card to finish them off.
Well that's me for today. Have you had chance to play along with this weeks challenge, TSG124? Here's the inspiration again.
Hope you have a great "hump day"!
