Are you ready for a new photo instalment from For Your Inspiration? How about this for amazing architecture!
This challenge is sponsored by the Wax Fruit Company who are offering a prize of a $15 store credit! I chose to work with their "birdhouse row" digi as the shapes of the houses reminded me of the arches of the cathedral.
Supplies: Stamps - Wax Fruit Company birdhouse row, Waltzingmouse Stamps teeny trees; Inks - Versacolor pinecone; Card - Stampin' Up rose red; Twine - The Twinery cappuccino; Button - Papertrey Ink spring mix; Dies - Speelbinders labels 14; Promarkers
I tried to pick out some of the pink/peach hues for my colour palette.
I actually really liked this card but wondered if it was too plain, so I did another one using deeper colours, a bit more layering and some patterned paper.
Supplies: Stamps - Wax fruit Company birdhouse row, Waltzingmouse Stamps teeny trees; Inks - Versacolor pinecone; Card - Stampin' Up cherry cobbler, Papertrey Ink rustic white, enchanted evening; Paper - Echo Park winter park; Dies Papertrey Ink scallop die

Debby, I love BOTH these cards! I love the dots on the second one, cute! If I had to choose, I'd choose the first one. I like plain. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love that you interpreted the photo as bird houses - I can totally see it, but would've never thought of it. I don't think that first one is too plain, it's perfect!
ReplyDeleteI think both are fantastic. Beautiful, as always!
ReplyDeleteOh, dear. I love them both. Can I say that I like them both equally?

Love both of your cards Debby - using that birdhouse stamp is a great interpretation of the photo! Rx
ReplyDeleteThey are both great cards. The first has a fabulous CAS look about it. I find it hard to do CAS though and so my favorite would be the second card.
