I'm flying in with another Papertrey Ink post! Day 5 of the anniversary celebrations is to use Pinterest inspiration for a card.
Supplies: Stamps - Papertrey Ink happy trails, Inks - Versacolor cement, Versafine smoky gray; Card - Papertrey Ink rustic white, soft stone; Paper - My Mind's Eye follow your heart be amazing; Dies - Papertrey Ink double ended banner, fillable frames 7
I used the photo Ashley Cannon Newell found. Here's the original source.
I was taken by the vertical stripes of soft, sea washed colours with the pop of a little blue. I cut strips of patterned paper with the smaller double ended banner die and staggered and overlapped them slightly leaving the ends loose to curl up. The notch in the banner reminded me of the sloping roof in the picture. Finally I mounted a panel over the top with layered stamping.
Well that's me for today! We are on count down to our half term break, so things may be a little quiet around here for a day or two while I enjoy having my three munchkins with me.
How are you knocking these out so fast? I can't keep up with you! Love this one, though. The way you overlapped the banner dies gives so much textural interest. Lovely.
