case study challenge 94

The first Thursday in a month is change over day at CASE study challenge. First off I have to say thanks to the amazing Aga who thrilled us for 5 weeks during May. And now it is time to welcome for June the wonderful Joy Taylor! Oh I do love my gig on this DT - I get to CASE the most outstanding designers week after week :)

This week we are being sponsored by a new UK company - Uniko Studio. Beverley is the sweetest and her designs are outstanding also they have an amazing DT including our very own Aimes :)

Here's Joy's card to inspire us this week:

There were a few aspects of this card that stood out to me - the banner, rosette, butterfly and colour scheme. I kept to everything except the colour scheme - I did try but purple and I just don't seem to get on!
Now if I'd been thinking straight I would've used my Uniko Studio stamps but I just got my weeks mixed up! So these are Hero Arts stamps and some vellum butterflies I've had forever and I went with a summery orange scheme.

I love the shape of this banner tag but that shape makes it tricky to stand up for photographs so a little milk jug popped to the rescue.

I think the butterflies might've been from Making Memories but it's been so long I can't remember! I took two of them and layered one on top of the other. Here's a close up:

Please drop by the rest of the crew to see their take on Joy's card
Supplies: Stamps – Hero Arts/Studio Calico you are the best, hooray; Inks - Hero Arts chalk ink poppy, shadow ink butter bar, Versafine onyx black; Die – Papertrey Ink tag sale 5; Ribbon – Papertrey Ink; Twine – The Twinery; Vellum butterflies – Making Memories?

  9. Debby, this is amazing! The gift is truly the tag, and not what it ends up getting attached to :)
