just because ...

Popping in today to share a card I made yesterday for day 1 of Online Card Classes latest class; clean & simple card making 2. The homework for day 1 was to use one of the supplied sketches as a jumping off point. I chose a sketch by Amber Kemp-Gerstel and this is what I came up with.

Recently I've seen some lovely laser cut card fronts and had that idea in mind when making this card. I die cut a circle from a white panel and layer two white chloe stems behind so that they overlapped the circle edge and each other. I curved the sentiment stamp on my block so that it followed the curve of the open circle. Then I popped the panel over a stamped grey piece and added a yellow butterfly - still loving the grey and yellow combination :)

Keeping it brief today and hoping to be back with something for day 2 :)
