Happy bird.day!

It's time for another Embellish colour trends challenge! This time the extra element of the challenge is to incorporate tags. Oh, I love a tag or two! So making use of the challenge to tick something off my to do list, I set about making a gift card holder for my niece's birthday.

I very much admired the seed packet die in the latest Papertrey Ink release. It fell in to my basket somehow but seeing as I will have to wait a couple of weeks for it to arrive in my sticky little hands here in the UK I had a go at making my own. Here's the back - I traced around a Spellbinders labels 14 die to create the fancy edge to the flap.

I added a couple of Velcro circles so the holder can be used again.

And a gift card isn't complete without a matching card and a toning present all wrapped up too.

Debby

Supplies:

Stamps - PTI mat stack 4, tiny treats birthday
Inks - Versafine smoky gray
Card - PTI rustic white
Paper My Mind's Eye
Die - PTI mat stack 4, spellbinders circles, labels 14
Ribbon - PTI enchanted evening

Hi Debby!

Yep, very funny we both used this cute birdie and named our post this way! Love your card and holder, the flower the bird is holidng is so much fun! What a wonderful example of all the possibilities you have with one stamp! Like a lot the way you tied your ribbon and adding the piece of patterned paper on the inside of the card! Very nice!

Wishing you a lovely day!
Wendy

So pretty! Love how your switched the balloon in the bird's mouth to a flower, and I ADORE how you focused so much on the gray! Brilliant designs all around.
