Mum

I'm sorry to have disappeared for a few days there, just life getting in the way of crafting! Nothing dramatic just needed to get a few things done.

I'm cheating rather with this card - in America I believe it is Mother's Day this weekend, so this card is particularly appropriate. However, here in the UK we have already had Mother's Day back in March. So why am I making a card for my Mum? Well it's her birthday next week! So a happy coincidence.

My Mum loves yellow - she had yellow roses in her bridal bouquet, so the colours from this weeks CR84FN were perfect. I think my Mum might like yellow as much as I like green, if that's possible! Also this card sort of fits with the Mother's Day theme on Papercrafts gallery challenge.

I'm trying at the moment to finish the insides of my cards a bit more. Here I made a panel for the sentiment.

Debby
Supplies:

Stamps - PTI simple alphabet, pond life (flower stems), modern basics (leaf), signature greetings (inside
Inks - SU so saffron, early espresso
Card - PTI kraft, SU daffodil delight
Paper - SU
Dies - PTI tiny labels, beautiful blooms
Ribbon - PTI lemon tart
Button - Ribbon Girl

Gorgeous card. I just know your mum will be wrapped. I love the tall shape of it especially. I dont think I've ever done a DL card. Feeling inspired to after seeing your lovely card.

Really? Mother's Day in March? I'm not sure I ever thought about it being different in other countries. Cool.

Love the card. My moms favorite color is yellow, also, and going to use this combo for her Mother's Day card. I really like the size of the card and the little popped flowers and leaves. Very pretty!
