cas-ual fridays 51 – happy birthday!

Wow, I can’t believe the time has finally arrived for my first post for CAS-ual Fridays! Not only that but CAS-ual Fridays is now a year old! So we kick off the start of the new year and new term with a new team! Well some of us are new at any rate :) There's been so much going on at CAS-ual Fridays recently with the new team, new look, facebook page and facebook team! Lots to celebrate! Now here's some more good news. We are all pushed for time on occasion, so the deadline for entry to the challenge has changed from 11.59pm Wednesday night to noon Thursday. Time is something I guess we could all do with more of LOL.

So let’s crack on with the challenge shall we? Here you go – loving the new CAS-ual Fridays graphics

A nice and easy one while we find our feet! So create a card or project with a birthday theme and our sponsor this week is non other than Simon Says Stamp.

Simon Says Stamp

And here's more fab news; Simon Says Stamp really went all out for us and in addition to the

  • normal $25 prize for the winner (who will also be our guest designer in June)
  • they have provided a darling stamp set for each of the VIPs
  • AND  a set to be given to a random commenter on the CAS-ual Fridays blog!
  • AND a set to be given to a random commenter on the CAS-ual Fridays facebook page!!!

Well over $100 in prizes being given in honour of our birthday!

Now let's get to my card. I used some colour inspiration from the fabulous Cristina – black with neutral and a coral pop.

This card also fits the There She Goes challenge this week (TSG154) which is May flowers!

Now I'm not sure if you've seen the new CAS-ual Fridays lineup in it's entirety so here you are:

Dana Seymour
Debby Hughes - that's me!
Gayatri Murani

Not forgetting the facebook team who will be posting to facebook and their blogs during the week:

Have a fabulous weekend!
